One of my personal wants on Android for a long time has been a keyboard design for using with spreadsheet apps. In my work life I have spreadsheets for a ton of things, and often walk about with my tablet inputting data. I want to enter data quickly without having to manually select the cell adjasent to the one I am on. Keyboard for Excel should really be the spreadsheet keyboard of my dreams.
After you have installed and setup the keyboard you notice the addition of a couple of keys most keyboards dont implement, most notiibly the Tab key.
On the whole Keyboard for Excel is the best keyboard for this very specific use I have found, but it stops short of being perfect for the task. Silly little things like inclusion of the Tab key, but no way to Shift-Tab. Being able to show a single line number bar exclusivly could also be a help at times.
Keyboard for Excel is a niche app designed by Microsoft to work in harmony with one of it’s core products. A little more thought and tinkering and they might just have a winner in a very select race.
