Badger, Notification Widget- Review

Main

Developer’s description

Badger is the widget for unread messages and notifications. Just pick an app and Badger takes care of the rest, adding a small badge with the notification count for that app. Since Badger is a widget, it works on any launcher and with any app that creates notifications!

Setting up Badger is simple: under Settings > Security, grant Badger “Notification Access.” Then add it to your home screen as you would any other widget. Monitor as many apps as you would like. Badger is highly-customizable: choose from many styles and appearances by launching Badger from your app drawer. There you can configure the badge indicator, text colors, position, and much more.  Yes there are 3rd party launchers that offer notifications and even Xposed Framework modules that do the same plus more, but, if you’re looking to stay as stock as you can Badger, Notification Widget offers a convenient solution to show your notifications right on your home screen.

A plethora of customisation options are available to design the ‘badge’ to your liking. You’ll be able to add 3 widgets when first installing, or have unlimited widgets for a small in-app donation of £0.89 GBP ($1.46) which goes towards further development and new projects.  Badger, Notification Widget is simple to set up, works exactly as it should and adds something to your home screen that is useful but keeps things clean and easy to read. An application that does it’s job very well, with no clutter. I’d recommend Badger to our readers if you happen to be looking for a notification counter on your device but want to stay on your stock launcher.
