If you’ve played any type of arcade game in the last 35 years, you’ll be aware of what BRIK offers. A tried and tested formula that you can jump straight into, it’s familiar, nostalgic and a certain type of game that I’m drawn to. Without making myself seem old, games like this were at the cutting edge once upon a time and now I really do think they suit a touch screen device with simple controls and addictiveness that makes you want to play a few more levels. Different titles are available on Google Play like BRIK that are slightly different or offer something the other doesn’t. If BRIK offered Google Play Game Services leaderboards, I’d be singing it’s praises from the rooftops to all, sadly it doesn’t. What the game does offer is a 30 minute session now and again and end up playing for an hour. The menus are OK, you’ll quickly grasp the settings because there really isn’t that much to it. I would advise reading the legend and distinguishing the difference between different blocks and items that fall. You can check out some screen shots below.
BRIK runs well, the title offers pretty good graphics, it’s familiar and fun. The only box it doesn’t tick is the lack of leaderboard in any description. I’d really like to see my friend’s scores and how mine stack up against them. The game is free but there’s a pretty annoying advert at the top. I asked the development team if there was a way to go pro or remove the ad, they said, ” they are taking a look at adding something in the near future.” That’s fair enough with me.
We grabbed some game play footage of BRIK and uploaded to our YouTube account if you’d like to have a little look.
