Review: K’3 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive from PK Paris

Review: K’3 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive from PK Paris

A lot of phone manufacturers are choosing to not include a sd card slot in their new phones. For example my S6 Edge, the new Nexus devices are choosing to promote cloud storage over an sd card. So the next option is to get a flash drive for your phone, this can be done with an OTG cable, but we are in need of something a lot more compact. This is where the K’3 from PK Paris comes into play. I hadn’t heard of PK Paris until I saw them on Kickstarter, and noticed they sell one of the smallest USB 3.0 drives for mobiles I had seen. So I thought I would get one sent over and see if its a good alternative to an sd card slot.

The K’3 is incredibly small, and I think it’d get lost, if not for the keyring attachment. The bright orange logo and cable have a nice contrast against the brushed chrome of the main USB end. In use I had no issues whatsoever, I plugged it into my S6 Edge, it was picked up and I was able to start backing up my photos. The advantage of the USB 3.0 meant that I could then download those photos onto my work computer in no time at all.

There is one cap to protect the micro-usb connector, this is threaded through the orange cable, so won’t get lost. This also adds to the waterproof protection for the whole stick, which I thought was a great idea, and separates it from the other flash drives for phones.  I was able to hold it in the shower, then after a quick dry, plugged it into my phone and the computer without a problem.

I have been using it for around 8 weeks, and haven’t as yet had any problems. I have transferred well over 100gbs of information from phone, to stick, to computer and that K’3 is still rocking, with so sign of giving up. I keep this on me all the time, and means that I can use it as a memory stick for work if needed, and then for backing up on my phone.

For only £23, I think this is a great little stick to have on you. It’s good for backing up videos or photos, and the addition of USB 3.0 and being waterproof means its going to be able to take what is chucked at it. Check it out below:
