SlickWraps – Purple Glitz

Company – SlickWraps are an all American company founded in 2010. Jonathan Endicott must have had a massive issue with how the iPhone 4 looked as he went out employed 18 people and got himself a 10,000SqFt warehouse. In their first year they had shipped over 100K wraps to like minded iPhone users. Fast forward to 2015 and they now make wraps for almost 100 devices.

Product – I hate rocking a boring black slab but I seem to keep buying them. SlickWraps must have read my mind. Nvidia swapped out my Shield Tablet so I needed a new wrap. I got an email from a really friendly chap called Ryan at SlickWraps asking if DroidHoirzon wanted a sample. Being that I didn’t know about SlickWraps before, I went on their site and instantly fell in love with the Glitz range. The CAD images on the site made the tablet just pop! I had to have one and they even did the best colour ever; purple. Those CAD images don’t do the Glitz range much justice at all. They got a nice bright purple base, added as much silver and purple glitter as the wrap could handle, then made it nice and smooth so that those giant rocks of glitter don’t cut your fingers up. Due to the amount of glitter in this wrap, any bit of light just shows the skin off and under bright office lights everyone wants to look at this tablet. It’s no longer just a boring black slab.

Installation – SlickWraps have a whole bunch of videos up on Youtube showing you how to fit the skins. This means you can get a good idea of what to do before you do it. During installation the adhesive doesn’t set too quickly so you have time to make slight adjustments. Just be careful not to stretch the wrap when peeling it off of your device or the sheet it comes on. A benefit of the Slickwraps is the residue-free removal, so when it’s time to sell your device it will look as good as the day you unboxed it.

Price – $26.95 SlickWraps are American so they use dollars. That’s fair enough, no options to change the currency is a bit of a shame but oh well. Less than $30 to keep my Shield Tablet in mint condition is a small price to pay as they must have used $25 worth of glitter to make it. SlickWraps aren’t the cheapest but the quality is top notch. For this price you get front and back wraps but they also include side wraps so that every part of your device will be kept safe.
