X-Wing Squadron Builder Review

X-Wing is a miniatures game made by Fantasy flight Games.
A tactical turn by turn dog fighting tabletop game with highly detailed ships that we know and love from star wars.
You play against an opponent never knowing where they will move or what attacks they have planned.
A big part of winning is to make sure you have the best squad possible.
Planning can be hard work, laying out 100’s of cards on your table and counting out the points. Even worse is thinking of a good build whilst away from your X-Wing cards and having to make notes for yourself that make no sense a few hours later. This can all be avoided thanks to Jesus Galvez. He has made a fantastic squadron building app for android which has recently been updated with a fresh new interface making the whole app a lot cleaner looking.

It may seem a bit odd for Droid Horizon to review a table top game app, but our mobile devices are there to make life easier and more enjoyable. Keeping your winning (or even losing) builds stored safely in one place is definitely doing just that. The icing on the cake is that the app can backup your builds to an sd card so they are always safe.
So what else makes this app so handy? Well you can tell it what ships you have and how many which means that when you’re using the app you will be warned that you don’t have that card or not enough of that card stopping any embarrassments at game time. With each build you can log how many times you have won, lost and drawn with that set up. You also get rules cards in the app and download links to the larger rule files helps keep the size of the app down.
All this is free but you do get the option to donate which being how quickly this app is updated with new ships is worth doing.
