SoundHUD Android App
Two of Android’s greatest assets are the open source community as a whole & the ability to customise your device. (Be it via OEM skins, themes or even applications on the Play Store.) SoundHUD takes the best of both and combines together to offer the end user a volume panel interface which is fully customisable.
Taken from Noyze sources which I’ve personally used before but didn’t review… Dare we say “and made the app better?” SoundHUD provides an easy to use and pleasant looking application to tweak the volume panel, slider, background etc etc in anyway you’d like to.
..If you’d like to have “proper” silent mode on your Lollipop Android device, SoundHUD has the option to do so without root privileges..
“Proper” isn’t the correct term, Lollipop introduced new levels of sound modes. None, Priority and All. Some users actually prefer the old way and possibly don’t understand the new silent features.
(SoundHUD has been tested on the OnePlus One running unofficial Cyanogen Mod 12 builds, so, works with CM12 themes & most definitely stock ROMs. We can’t be 100% certain how well SoundHUD plays with Xposed Modules)
The screenshots above show a familiar user interface which any user will grasp in an instant. The customisation options are clearly shown to add a bit of character on your device or even edit to suit the style or theme you’ve created. I’m all about customising and having options to edit things to the way I like. SoundHUD gives me that option.. Not just in the looks department, add options to launch a specific app from pressing your volume keys also.
The developer offers a free trial period so users can test the app for themselves. The trial runs for 14 days, after that, an In App Purchase is available for £1.29 to continue using. (Cheapskates can’t uninstall then reinstall again, the trial is tied to your account. That’s fine with us)
