Stumbled upon this video by accident, maybe it could be of use to some newer users.
Few other things I’d like to add. Check your refresh rates and polling on your installed applications.
- Email app. Do you need it to look for new emails every 5 minutes?
- That sexy looking clock and weather widget. Do you need to see what the weather is going to be like as often as that? (I’d say no. Take a quick look out the window)
- Twitter app. Instant notifications can be a killer! Do you need that?
- Facebook app. Might not be true but I heard a kitten gets killed every time somebody checks it every 2 minutes. Do you need to know those status updates from people you don’t even speak to and hide from?
Need is the keyword today. Let Android manage your RAM and applications running in the background. A quick mention on your screen display too. Does it need to be 100% brightness? No.
