VSCO announced today that its popular photo app has 30 million monthly active users and 5B images consumed on a monthly basis.

The company also shared news on the appointment of new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Bryan Mason. Mason joins from Adobe where he managed business operations for the launch of Creative Cloud and led business development as well as M&A initiatives. Prior to joining Adobe, Mason co-founded Typekit which was acquired by Adobe in 2011. As COO Mason will be responsible for overseeing and growing business operations, with focus on increasing revenue as it relates to unique offering and ecosystem.
The Oakland-based company has also made additions to its strategic advisory board. Recent additions include Emily White – former COO of Snapchat, Jack Krawczyk – Vice President of Product Management at Pandora, andTom Conrad – former Chief Technology Officer at Pandora.
