Tired of download 200 MB everyday to get your latest CM nightly?
CyanDelta lets you update your CyanogenMod ROM by downloading just a small delta file (about 10 MB) instead of a big full zip file each time. With CyanDelta you can finally update your ROM in just some minutes even with a slow and expensive 2G or 3G connection!
CyanDelta is the perfect replacement of “CM Updater”, “ROM Manager” and “BBQLog”. When a ROM update is available it will notify you and show the changelog between the version you have installed and the new one. If you decide to update, it will delta-download the new version and if you want it will automatically install the new zips via recovery.
I’ve been using this very handy app for downloading CM10.1 Nightlies for a while. So easy and convenient I’ve actually flashed an update on my tea break at work. Amazingly a 200 MB ROM magically turns into 10MB-ish and can easily be grabbed over 2G/3G on a rubbish network connection.
Also displaying a change log before you install (You actually don’t get this with official Nightlies) I really couldn’t recommend this more for crackflashing on the go. 😉 You’ll have to check and see if your version or device is supported but it’s free, with ads, so no issue if it doesn’t work for you.
And another thing…
I’d recommend flashing the update manually. Seems to be previous issues of which custom recovery version, CWM TWRP etc etc you’re using, although I’ve had zero complaints. So…
Boot to recovery manually and you’ll find it in your storage folder named Cyandelta
