Eufy RoboVac 11S and 30C Review

Eufy RoboVac 11S and 30C Review

I have wanted a Robot Vacuum for a very long time, so you can tell how excited I was when Eufy decided to send me two models to review. The 11S is a reliable model and been in the market for a while. The 30C is a new addition and some added features make it a must-have.

RoboVac 11S

The 11s doesn’t use mapping technology to get around the place. It sort of bumps around the place and goes in straight lines until the bumper is hit and it’ll go in another direction. There is a roller brush along with two spinning brushes along the bottom.

There is no app for the 11S, so it is all controlled using the remote included with the RoboVac. The remote has a display on it allowing you to monitor the Robovac and set the schedules for it to clean.

There are a number of modes you can use to clean your place. Single Room mode will make the RoboVac go full suction and spin around an area for around 20 – 30 mins. In Edge mode, the 11S will slowly crawl along any side wall, I found this great for the kitchen. Spot cleaning mode, the 11S will spin in a small area for 2 mins with high suction. Manual mode allows you to control the direction of the 11S.

I tend to use Auto mode the most. This will clean until the battery starts to die, and it’ll return to charge itself. This will get the largest area cleaned the quickest. Though there is no mapping on board, I have followed the 11S around and it never misses a spot. The 1300Pa suction and BootIQ tech mean that there isn’t much this little guy can’t suck up.

I started to schedule cleanings to start at a certain time each day, meaning when I left the house the 11S would go into Auto mode and clean my flat and then go back to charge when it was done.

If you are happy to not have an app, wifi control etc, then this a great Robot Vacuum. It will do the job, you can still schedule cleaning and it’ll charge itself.

RoboVac 30C

The 30c is about 2.85″ in height, and packing a higher 1500Pa suction. That height means it can get around smaller areas and under furniture.

Like all RoboVac models, the new 30C doesn’t use any mapping technology. It sort of bumps around the place and goes in straight lines until the bumper is hit and it’ll go in another direction. The cleaning is all done on the underbelly of the 30C, there is a roller brush and a pair of spinning brushes for cleaning along walls.

The 30C features a remote for manual control, but it can also be used with the Eufy app. The app interface is great and allows you to control the 30C, set schedules, change the cleaning mode, and it will even report back if there is a problem like stuck or full.

There are a number of modes you can use to clean your place. Single Room mode will make the RoboVac go full suction and spin around an area for 30 mins. In Edge mode, the 30C will slowly crawl along any side wall, I found this great for the kitchen. Spot cleaning mode, the 30C will spin in a small area for 2 mins with high suction. Manual mode allows you to control the direction of the 30C. You can use the app to control the suction power, and they have thrown in a quiet mode, which vacuums for up to 100 minutes of constant, powerful suction at a volume no louder than an operating microwave.

I tend to use Auto mode the most. This will clean until the battery starts to die, and it’ll return to charge itself. This will get the largest area cleaned the quickest. Though there is no mapping on board, I have followed the 30C around and it never misses a spot. The 1500Pa suction and BootIQ tech mean that there isn’t much this little guy can’t suck up. They also included “tape” which means I can block areas of my flat from the 30C, normally due to cabling which can’t be moved.

I started to schedule cleanings to start at a certain time each day, meaning when I left the house the 30C would go into Auto mode and clean my flat and then go back to charge when it was done. There is also Google and Alexa controls, so I can now ask Google to clean my house which is a great addition.

This is the ultimate value Robot Vacuum. It will do the job, you can still schedule cleaning and it’ll charge itself. You have a great app, awesome support and the ability to tell it to clean your flat from work is amazing.
