Experience with Zappos Android App and Customer Service

ZapposHeaderThis is not a brand new Android app, but it is a new app to me. Actually this quick post will be a mix of the Zappos Android app and their customer service. So basically what you will be reading is a recap of my Zappos purchasing experience.

Recently I was searching for new pair of kicks. Puma’s to be exact.  Of course I found plenty from all over, Amazon, Ebay, etc. I just was not satisfied in terms of the price and style combination I was looking for. Then the online store Zappos came to mind. I had never used it, but I have always heard good things about it. So I proceeded to go to the Play Store and download the Zappos app. Upon opening the application, I immediately noticed how nice and sleek it was. It categorizes everything quite nicely, featuring the popular sliding menu’s, which is always a nice touch. Gave me just enough information on my recent orders and ability to search previous order. In all the user interface is perfect, and does everything an application of this type should do.

Now I breifly read the first two reviews and ordered those Puma’s I mentioned earlier. Payment made, done. So I went back and read a couple more reviews on the shoes. Wouldn’t you know it, one review said the shoe size ran small. Immediately, I call customer service from the application under Menu>Information>Call us 24/7. I get an easy to listen to recording and after a short wait, a Zappos rep picks up my call, asked how she can help me. I explain the situation. She checks the reviews also, and we find 4-5 others also say the shoe size runs small. As she processed a new order, she continued to chat with me, asking where I’m located, “how’s the weather down there”, just some chit chat.  I answer, she mentions Las Vegas weather, where they are located just to keep the conversation going, obviously to fill the silence of waiting for her to finish my order. And before I knew it, we were done.

Great customer service. Based on my first experience, I know I will be making much more use of that Zappos Android app in the future. You can also follows the Zappo Google+ page. They look to be quite active in posting, with the occasional reply to comments. See the Google Play button below for the Zappos Android app.
