Hookups are quick and easy thanks to app technology

Prior to the invention of hookup apps like Tinder and Plenty of Fish, meeting new people to date was a far more complex process. Unless you were going to join an online dating site, which are often seen as being reserved for divorcees, then you had to meet people face-to-face. However, when dating apps were introduced, they changed the entire culture of dating. Hookups became quick and simple, and this has had a significant impact on the overall sphere.

You no longer have to go out to meet new people – you can stay in and meet them instead. App technology has changed the entire dating scene, from making it easier to meet people to making it easier to monitor and spy on people, with the use of an app to hack facebook accounts or an app for mobile spying, for instance. Everything is different and a large part of the cause is simply the introduction of app technology.

Social media has changed dating

The rise in use of social media channels has meant that relationships have begun to change in a variety of ways. Today, people post a large amount of what they’re doing on social media, which means that if you are dating someone, you can see what goes into their life fairly clearly simply by checking their social media presence or Googling their name.

While this can be a good thing, as it can mean that you can more clearly see who the person is that you’re interested in, it can also be a negative thing. The important thing is not to become too addicted to social media and ensuring that you are actively getting to know the person in a very real way, rather than just online.

There you have it, a guide to some of the ins and outs of how technology is changing the future of meeting up and how you should approach the use of technology in your own dating life.
