Movie Roll – Review

I, like many people, am a great fan on the IMDB app for Android. It has all the information I could need, but that was until I heard about a new app poking about called Movie Roll. The issue with IMDB is that, there are no links to other sources of information, sometimes I want to see the IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes score. Movie Roll takes all the information from the internet about a film and places it into a handy intuitive app.

So what does Movie Roll do? It currently lets you organize and discover movies, find information about your favorite celebrities, and most importantly, find out which movies you would like to watch next. XDA member Uroborus has provided a detailed list of what the app currently does:

View:
– Full movie information, budget and revenue
– Movie reviews and trivia
– Trailers
– Posters, photos and images
– IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Flixter ratings
– Similar movies and collections of movies

Movie charts:
– New openings and future upcomings in theaters
– New DVD releases
– Most popular and movies for today
– Top box office
– Oscar awards, Golden Globe awards
– Subgenre charts: Steampunk, Girls with Guns, Time Travel, Zombies and many more

As you can see in the screenshots, all the information are in their own tabs and can be swiped to be accessed. This is a relief compared to the rigorous scrolling on the IMDB database.

There is a free and a paid version of this app, but I have linked to the latter as this is a great app, and this developer needs the support. Give this app a go, its already replaced my IMDB app. Link for the app is below:
