New Device Frame Generator

The device frame generator allows you to quickly wrap your app screenshots in real device artwork. This provides better visual context for your app screenshots on your web site or in other promotional materials.

In addition to using the application to generate screenshots, you can send screenshots using the share menu from any gallery application.

The following devices are currently supported..

  •  Nexus S : 480*800
  •  Galaxy Nexus : 720*1280
  •  Nexus 4 : 768*1280
  •  Nexus 7 : 800*1280
  •  Nexus 10 : 1600*2560
  •  HTC One X : 720*1280
  •  Samsung Galaxy Note : 800*1280
  •  Samsung Galaxy S III : 720*1280
  •  Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 : 600*1024
  •  Motorola Xoom : 800*1280

We reviewed this application a few months ago here and not a lot has really changed since except a few more device frames. I’m not sure if the dev has lost the ability to continue development or has decided he’d like to charge, a reasonable sum of money, to continue on. That I don’t know. Maybe I’ll reach out and contact him, he was very pleasant when we chatted last, just before Christmas if I remember. Anyway… 62 pence wouldn’t buy you a bar of nice chocolate these days and when I noticed things had changed I purchased straight away and have no regrets doing so. (If you follow me on G+ you’ll see I like to  #ScreenShotSpam and use this app every time. Maybe even twice a day!!)

As always we have provided a link for download. It’s only 62p!!

google-play-logo The developer contacted us and said…

1. It’s now paid, this way I can devote more time to the app’s development.
2. A free version (no ads or donations required) is also available https://www.dropbox.com/s/bfnmix0iwau9pgl/com-f2prateek-dfg-v1.0.2-beta.apk?m . I’ll try to keep the free version updated to the latest version that is available on the Play Store. The idea was to prioritize support for paying users.
3. Dropped support for devices running Honeycomb or older versions of Android. It’s still supported in the free version, but since I don’t have an older device anymore, I was uncomfortable with making users pay for a version that wasn’t fully tested.
