Review: Syllable A6

Company – Shenzhen Kaijuyuan Technology Co. was founded in 2007 with the goal of making high quality audio accessories. The A6 comes under the brand Syllable which they launch all of their headphones under.

Product – These may be the worst headphones I have ever used.  While they fit well enough you only get one size of rubber buds. I would normally expect 2 or 3 to make sure you get the best fit possible. This could be why I got the world’s flattest sound from them. On the back of the box they advertise “Stereo With Heavy Bass”, even using bass boost and a good EQ setup I still couldn’t get any bass at all. They almost spoilt music… they’re only really worth using for audiobooks or podcasts. Something else that spoils these headphones is the 3 hour battery life. Whilst that’s fine for a run, it isn’t enough for some bike rides and will mean a lot of charging for gym use. I went to use them the other day for a trip to London and even though they got me to London they didn’t get me around London and back home. My Motorola Buds get 10 hours battery life and my Outdoor Tech Orcas get 6 hours. That sort of life covers a day of use, 3 hours is just not enough. Over all with the 1 fit, some flat sound and weak battery it’s worth just spending your money on some good wired headphones.

Packaging – Very nice, soft feeling case with a necklace like display case. There’s information on the back about what you’re getting but no details about the max volume and battery life. The charging cable and user manual are nicely hidden away for a cleaner look.

Price –  £24.99 Even though the RRP is £69.99 – that’s just something some Chinese companies do to make you think your getting a great deal. I bet these have never been sold close to £70… ever. Even at £24.99 these are too expensive, maybe £10 or £15 would be okay.

  1. I think it is the good headset for this price, the wireless is stable, and the sound quality is good as well

  2. The Bluetooth is stable but the sound quality is far from good. Better off getting good wired headphones for less. Having Bluetooth isn’t worth the trade off in quality.
