The Walking Dead: Dead Yourself [Review]

Sure, not everyone is keen on zombies. They’re disgusting, re-animated virus controlled, flesh eating human corpse’s. I’d never say I’d love to be one, and they’re just not something any sane person would look up to. I will, although, not hide the fact that if zombies choose to ‘come at me bro’, I will be slicing and dicing, and probably with a smile on my face. Yes, I do like a good zombie flick. And The Walking Dead on AMC and it being a huge hit, proves that i’m not alone.

Here’s the low down. A couple of friends of mine turned me on to this app (pictured below), basically by sending me a photo of themselves after they’ve turned into zombies. So obviously out of curiosity I downloaded it as well and got to work. The app itself is decent, very easy and straightforward to use. You just start the app, hit the camera button, and take a photo of yourself. Of course a device with a front-facing shooter will make this much easier if you’re capturing yourself. You could always just take some candid shots of friends also, and infect them with ease. Next, pick and chose the right options: eyes, mouth, environment, & filter. Give it a caption, then you can connect to your Facebook account and submit to share. Or, if you’d rather not authenticate through the Facebook’s, you can tap the all too familiar Android share icon at the top and share to your favorite social networks, or text messaging app.
