We take our reviews seriously at Droid Horizon and like to let each and every product we review stand on it’s own merits. However, when we received a sample of iClever’s IC-BTH02 Bluetooth headphones in for review they presented us with a bit of dilemma.
You’ve heard about the feeling of deja vu – right? Well as soon as I removed these from the packaging, I had a massive slap of deja vu right on the forehead. These looked really similar to a pair of Soundpeats headphones I’d reviewed in May.
I dug out the Soundpeats and although there are some cosmetic differences, sure enough they look almost identical. The earpieces are the exact same size and shape, controls are in the same place, even the cable clip is the same. From testing I can confirm that they perform identically as well, and can only conclude that they were made by the same manufacturer and branded for different vendors.
I could have just rehashed the previous review, but I don’t like having to repeat myself so instead I’ll link back to it here.
Soundpeats do include a carry case and extra ear hooks that iClever do not, but apart from that everything I said in the previous review still stands for iClever’s. I couldn’t really recommend one over the other, but there currently seems to have been a price increase on the Soundpeats model here in the UK which may sway your decision.
Apart from that, they’re both brilliant sets of headphones that perform way better than budget Bluetooth earphones have any right to, and I highly recommend you go ahead and pick a pair up.
