imago is an updated, pleasing way to browse and be involved with the community of imgur. Browse through galleries, search subreddits, and sync it all across your devices. Yes there are a multitude of applications already in the Play Store for viewing, downloading and syncing images from the vastly popular imgur site, but, imago offers some Material Design elements (#PraiseDurate ) and a clean and easy to use interface that all can use and enjoy.
What’s imgur?
imgur is an online image hosting service founded by Alan Schaaf in 2009 in Athens, Ohio, United States. Imgur describes itself as “the home to the web’s most popular image content, curated in real time by a dedicated community through commenting, voting and sharing. It offers free image hosting to millions of users a day, and a comment-based social community. The company supports itself with revenue generated from ad sales, Pro accounts, commercial hosting and merchandise…
A place to look at pictures of cats and bacon, sometimes together, sometimes not.
What’s imago?
imago is a third party application developed by Right Meow Apps that uses elements of Google’s new recommended guidelines. imago offers some nice animations, sidebar pull out, options to increase thumbnail size, grids, full screen, sync across devices using your imgur account. (Do people actually have an imgur account?) The app looks fantastic for what it is, if you don’t frequent the service at all, there’s hardly any point in grabbing this app. If you do, I’d certainly recommend using imago instead of the official. I’d like to mention the awesome app icon too, you’ll see it on the Play Store or in your app drawer after you download. Very nice it is.. imago is free with zero adverts.
